Despite its medieval origins, archery has now developed into a hi-tech and highly competitive sport. Using the very latest equipment, guests are taught the skills required to ‘strike gold’ on the competition shoot.

These highly maneuverable four-wheeled motorcycles are the perfect vehicles for negotiating our special obstacle course, which includes slalom, ramps, seesaw and even a limbo bar! The competition is based on both individual and team runs, with penalties awarded for mistakes made en route.

This day out provides a great day of fun for all to enjoy. Creating a great festival atmosphere these fun days can include party games such as ‘Musical Statues’, ‘Put your hands up’, ‘Egg n Spoon Race’, ‘Wellie Boot Throwing’, ‘Turf Stacking’, and many more. A Barbecue can provide the perfect start or finish to your day with a selection of menus to choose from. Our philosophy on these days is that if we can offer something for everyone from the 1 year olds to the Granny and Grandads, with a fun, and good humoured approach. We will make this days memory last for a long time to come.

Here’s a different form of target shooting that we offer using a .22 Air Rifle. Under the expert guidance of our tutors you can test your aim on a selection of targets.

Falconry demonstrations, plus hands on experience. Using mainly Harris Hawks, Peregrines, Eagle Owls and other birds of prey. All the birds are fully trained and used to people so you can enjoy the intimate relationship between man and bird which has existed for centuries. An exhilarating experience.

Orienteering has great appeal for everyone, young and old, active and inactive. It teaches aspects of map reading and compass work together with the experience of finding your way around a lush forested mountain, making this one of our most popular activities. With this activity we also organize Treasure Hunts and Team Challenges based on this sport.
